Thankful Heart

In my English Class at school. We were asked to write a poem on Thanksgiving. This year has went by so fast and now it is almost Thanksgiving. So i really took this poem to heart. I love this time of year. We were asked the simple question: what do you do on Thanksgiving, what are you thankful for, and what does thanksgiving mean to you? This was very easy for me since i love Thanksgiving. So i hope you enjoy and i encourage you to write about what you are thankful for.

It is the time of the year of giving
Thanksgiving is the time to be thankful
Spend time in fellowship
Family all together with friends
Love ones telling each other
What they are thankful for
Being thankful for a church family
And the wonderful friends
Thanksgiving is when looking outside seeing the falling leaves
Feeling the cold breeze when going outside
I am thankful for my home
When everyone sits around the table
Eating dinner as a family
Telling everyone what we are thankful for in this year
My family is like a group of birds
Everyone talking over one another
Fall is like having a thankful heart
With the fun fellowship of being together
As one for thanksgiving
This year.
